Once a week, you will meet for a small-group discussion of the lesson, hear from a teaching leader how the truths of Scripture can be applied to daily life and receive comprehensive notes on the Scripture passages you studied. Hurting Moms Mending Hearts is a small group for moms whose adult children are making destructive choices that impact their lives and all who love them. For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power & love & self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV) God has made us brave, not fearful beings. In a forty-day devotional format, author & blogger Kelly Johnson invites you to consider a new way of thinking about what it means to be brave and challenges you to seek a greater intimacy with God and the people God has placed in your life. Thru Scripture, stories, prayers & thought-provoking questions, recognize the seeds of divinely inspired bravery & learn the strength found in community. Using letters of the word brave as a guide. What God’s Word says about the characteristics of bravery: Bold, Resilient, Authentic, Vulnerable, & Engaged & Empowered by the Spirit

We want to remind you that motherhood isn’t a constraint – it’s a catalyst. That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time. 'All for Love' .... This year we embrace the transformative power of love, to the point where it starts to affect everything we do — the way we talk to our kids, interact with strangers, handle disappointments, celebrate victories, make decisions. When love floods into our lives, it all shifts. It results in less doom-scrolling, more conversation. Less comparison, more community. Less fear, more confidence. More over-the-top displays of compassion. More patience. More life in our souls. This year, love will save us. In fact, it already has, because love’s name is Jesus. MOPS is open to all moms of infants - HS. Join this awesome community of women now! Room 302 & 303 https://www.mops.org/allforlove/

Relevant is a group of mostly mid 30 years olds (with some a bit younger and some a bit older) who are all learning more about what God has for them in His Word. The group has people from all walks of life-- from singles to married couples, people with fur babies and people with actual babies, professionals in a variety of fields and people just getting started in the workforce. What brings them all together is the desire to dive into Scripture and learn more about the history behind God's word as well as what it means for us today. The Relevant teaching team brings a different style of teaching to the material covered each week. COVID has provided an opportunity to grow in the way that the group gathers. With restrictions lifting in the NOVA area they have recently moved to a hybrid approach, meeting both in person as well as virtually. This allows the group to meet together in person for those who are comfortable and still include others who prefer to meet virtually.

Spiritual disciplines are essential to a more vibrant spiritual life and knowing God more intimately. Join Kelly Minter in this 7-session Bible study as she unpacks the biblical foundation for these sacred habits along with approachable ways to practice disciplines like prayer, study, worship, rest, simplicity, generosity, celebration, and many more. Instead of being just one more thing on your to-do list, you’ll find that these habits of faith can actually create more margin in your life—providing peace and rest as you walk closer with Jesus. Demystify spiritual disciplines and be empowered to practice them as you draw closer to God. Understand how spiritual disciplines strengthen the Body of Christ, both in communities and individual lives. Reframe your perspective on rest and renewal. Workbooks will be available in class -$15 each. For more information, please contact Beth Davidson bdavidson@cfcwired.org
